July 2016 - Myin Ka Bar, Myanmar

A woman bows her head in prayer at Manuha Temple, just outside of Bagan, Myanmar. Claustrophobic passageways snake through the ancient structure, leading patrons and pilgrims through the mind of a captive king struggling with his faith. Manuha, the last Mon King of the Thaton Kingdom, designed and built the temple in 1067, during his imprisonment in Bagan.
